Sgt. Peter Yiannacopoulos, an armored crewman assigned to 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, shoots an M17, the Army’s new service pistol replacing the M9, on Fort Stewart, Georgia, Sept. 29, 2021. The M17 is equipped with glow-in-the-dark Tritium sights allowing the Soldier to reacquire their sight picture quickly during low-light engagements.
