Airman 1st Class Kamal Banks, 7th Operational Medical Squadron mental health technician, was highlighted as an outstanding performer as Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force JoAnne Bass visited Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, Nov. 4, 2021. Banks helped establish his squadron’s sponsorship program and coordinates outreach events for units being at increased risk for mental health and substance abuse. Since taking over the program, the wing has seen an increase in Airmen asking for help and utilizing mental health services. As a mental health technician, Banks helps evaluate and provide mental healthcare to patients around the world to help them overcome mental obstacles and issues. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
