Senior Airman Cameron Barrette, 7th Equipment Maintenance Squadron dedicated crew chief, was highlighted as an outstanding performer as Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force JoAnne Bass visited Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, Nov. 4, 2021. Barrette created a new in-house process by adding six SDS items to the HAZ program, which diversified high demand materials to be less impacted by supply shortages and saved three days of turnaround time for every wheel that requires minor paint touchups. As a dedicated crew chief, Barrette is assigned to work on a specific aircraft while assisting and mentoring other crew chiefs on the flight line.
