Two Soldiers in the Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) variation of the Stryker vehicle move through the streets of Mosul, Iraq, during a mounted patrol to maintain security in the city. The ATGM Stryker is built to provide direct fire support to the infantry during urban combat operations through thermal optic wire (TOW) guided missiles. This is one of seven variations of Stryker?s currently used in northern Iraq. The Stryker is the Army?s newest tactical fighting vehicle, used for the first time in combat operations by the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) during Operation Iraqi Freedom II.
