CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (July 11, 2022) – An Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) with the 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion, 1st Marine Division, and a landing craft, air cushion (LCAC) assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5 sit on the beach of Camp Pendleton,July 11. ACVs used in amphibious operations amplify the Navy-Marine Corps team to operate in a realistic, combined-arms environment to enhance naval warfighting tactics, techniques and procedures.
