    KINGS BAY, Ga. (Sept. 2, 2022) Rear Adm. John Spencer, outgoing commander of Submarine Group Ten, goes ashore with his family for the final time during his retirement ceremony aboard the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine USS Tennessee (SSBN 734) at Naval Submarine Group Ten. Spencer retired after 31 years of service in the U.S. Navy. Rear Adm. Thomas R. “TR” Buchanan succeeds Spencer as the submarine group’s commander.
