Soldiers of 1st Battalion, 34th Infantry Regiment fire a 21-Gun Salute in honor of Pfc. Alyssa Cahoon Sept. 16 at the Main Post Chapel. Cahoon, assigned to Company B, collapsed during a training exercise and died five days later of a “rare and completely undetectable heart abnormality,” according to a Facebook message from Cahoon’s mother, Susan Cahoon.
