ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. – U.S. Army Master Sgt. Chiquita Youngblood pins APG Firefighter and EMT Marquesa Taylor with the traditional “Stork Pin,” given to first responders who deliver a baby in the field, during a recognition ceremony at the APG North Fire Station, November 1, 2022. Taylor and five other first responders received the pin for assisting Youngblood during the unexpected delivery of her son, Noah, in the Youngblood’s APG residence on September 21, 2022. Taylor, a mother herself, provided emotional support to Youngblood during her delivery. “[Marquesa] calmed me down and told me I could do it,” said Youngblood who is assigned to the U.S. Army 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives Command.
