221214-N-VI040-1018 ATSUGI, Japan (Dec. 14, 2022) The Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Air Station Atsugi Chiefs Mess presents Kadomatsu to the Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi Chiefs Mess during a cultural exchange ceremony held at NAF Atsugi headquarters Dec. 14, 2022. The NAF Atsugi Chiefs Mess and JMSDF Chiefs Mess exchanged a wreath and Kadomatsu in celebration of U.S. and Japanese holiday season traditions. The Kadomatsu is decoration made up of cut pine and bamboo that adorns the entrance of Japanese buildings during the New Year's season.
