21214-N-VI040-1066 ATSUGI, Japan (Dec. 14, 2022) Command Master Chief Weba Roberts, command master chief, Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi, and the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Chiefs Mess held a cultural exchange ceremony at NAF Atsugi headquarters Dec. 14, 2022. The NAF Atsugi Chiefs Mess and JMSDF Chiefs Mess exchanged a wreath and Kadomatsu in celebration of U.S. and Japanese holiday season traditions. The Kadomatsu is decoration made up of cut pine and bamboo that adorns the entrance of Japanese buildings during the New Year's season.
