SAN DIEGO (Nov. 10, 2022) – Marines assigned to the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) bow their heads during an invocation at the beginning of a celebration commemorating the 247th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps aboard amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23), Nov. 10, 2022. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and amphibious transport docks Anchorage and John P.
