Benjamin Evans, right, an engineer staff non-commissioned officer in charge assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion (CLB) 13, the oldest Marine aboard amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23), passes a slice of cake to U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Chandler Potter, a combat engineer assigned to CLB 13, the youngest Marine assigned to Anchorage, during a celebration commemorating the 247th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps aboard Anchorage, Nov. 10, 2022. The passing of cake during a Marine birthday celebration from oldest to youngest Marine signifies the passing of experience from the old to the young of the USMC.
