“If I could tell my younger self anything, it would be to never be afraid to make friends. It is so easy to make friends here, you just need to get out of your box! The closeness of everyone makes me enjoy going to work every day.”
U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Tiana Flores, an aircraft avionics technician with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 165, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing.
Before joining the Marine Corps, Flores was a student at the New York City College of Technology. Unhappy and unsure of what she wanted to do, she followed in a trusted friend’s footsteps and joined the Marine Corps. Flores works on MV-22B Ospreys and enjoys the camaraderie within her unit. Flores’ plans include continuing school and promoting to corporal. Flores is a native of New York City. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Courtney A. Robertson)
