“I plan on staying in for a little bit longer, I want to participate in whatever exercises or deployments VMM-165 does. Long term I do want to go back to school and specialize in something medical.”
U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Tiana Flores, an aircraft avionics technician with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 165, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing.
Before joining the Marine Corps, Flores was a student at the New York City College of Technology. Unhappy and unsure of what she wanted to do, she followed in a trusted friend’s footsteps and joined the Marine Corps. Flores works on MV-22B Ospreys and enjoys the camaraderie within her unit. Flores’ plans include continuing school and promoting to corporal. Flores is a native of New York City. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Courtney A. Robertson)
