Yuma-based Marines with Marine Attack Squadron 211 Wake Island Avengers and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13 as well as two AV-8B Harriers returned home to friends and family after a combat deployment in Afghanistan, Nov. 3. Homemade "Welcome Home Daddy!" and "We Love You!" posters were carried by the guests on the flightline awaiting the return of their respective Marines. The event marked the end of a tough tour that saw the squadron's tragic loss of two Marines, VMA-211 Commanding Officer Christopher Raible and MALS-13 Electronics Technician Sgt. Bradley Atwell, in an insurgent attack at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan Sept. 15.
