Yuma-based Marines with Marine Attack Squadron 211 Wake Island Avengers and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13 as well as two AV-8B Harriers returned home to excited friends and family at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma after a combat deployment in Afghanistan, Nov. 3. "We're all just happy to be home, being able to see our families," said Major Robb McDonald, a AV-8B Harrier pilot with Marine Attack Squadron 211 and a director of safety and standardization. "There are no words to describe what it feels like to be separated and be reunited back together like this - It's just awesome," added McDonald's wife and a native of Phoenix, Ariz. VMA-211 and MALS-13 were touched by tragedy when they lost two Marines, VMA-211 Commanding Officer LtCol. Christopher Raible and MALS-13 Electronics Technician Sgt. Bradley Atwell, in an insurgent attack at Camp Bastion Sept. 15.
