Lance Cpl. Joshua C. Ukah prepares a M777A2 155mm howitzer for a convoy to the North Fuji Maneuver Area in preparation to conduct live-fire training as part of Artillery Relocation Training Program 12-3 here Nov. 8. The howitzers were transported from Camp Hansen, Okinawa to the training area here at Camp Fuji for ARTP 12-3. Ukah is a field artillery cannoneer with Mike Battery, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. This exercise is part of regularly-scheduled, routine training that promotes regional stability and security by allowing units stationed on Okinawa to improve their ability to support III MEF's role in the defense of Japan under the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security.
