Marines and sailors prepare equipment for a convoy to the North Fuji Maneuver Area in preparation to conduct live-fire training as part of Artillery Relocation Training Program 12-3 here Nov. 8. The Marines and sailors training at ARTP 12-3 are with Mike Battery, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. This exercise is part of regularly-scheduled, routine training that promotes regional stability and security by allowing units stationed on Okinawa to improve their ability to support III MEF's role in the defense of Japan under the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security.
