Ng Chee Peng, chief of navy of the Republic of Singapore, after presenting him with a Legion of Merit award during a full honors ceremony in honor of Peng's visit to the U.S. Peng received the award for his strategic vision and exceptional spirit of cooperation with the U.S. helping support the full spectrum of maritime operations in the Gulf of Aden, Strait of Malacca and South China Sea.
