Augustine Achu, director of the Sub-Saharan Africa program for Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) International, speaks with Maj. Gen. Giselle Wilz, director of staff, National Guard Bureau (NGB), along with other members of the program and NGB staff, about the importance of the TAPS organization and its mission during an event held May 24, 2023, at the Herbert R Temple Jr. Army National Guard Readiness Center (TARC) in Arlington, Virginia. TAPS is one of the partnering programs of the NGB J1-Warrior Resilience and Fitness Division (J1-W), which aims to connect Army National Guard (ARNG) and Air National Guard (ANG) service members and families with various support programs.
