GAMBRILS, Md. – Soldiers from the 780th Military Intelligence Brigade (Cyber) engaged students from Arundel High School to encourage their interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and to tell them about the life-changing opportunities of Army service, May 17. #beallyoucanbe #ArmyPossibilities
“I was part of the Anne Arundel High School STEM presentation. I spent much of my high school and college years teaching math and other STEM skills to K-12 students and I developed a passion for working with young people and for boiling down complex topics for people who want to learn them. I've always found that I have an aptitude for both the technical side of things (computer science, mathematics, coding, etc.) as well as the teaching side (communication, writing, interpersonal skills, etc.).”
“The Anne Arundel High School event was an opportunity to flex both of those intellectual muscles and also share some of my experience with the next generation and make the Army seem a little more human and less like a giant, inaccessible organization. It was quite the learning experience to see how some experienced officers handled the event; it was very instructive to see how 1st Lt. Andrew Constable and Capt. Madeline Schneider presented their workshops, and it was a pleasure to again be working with teens on demystifying math and science-related topics.” Sgt. Zachary Iezzi, 781st Military Intelligence Battalion (Cyber), U.S. Army
