A painting by Victor Juhasz showing Spec. Derek McConnell (d. 2013) with Archie, a Walter Reed National Military Medical Center facility dog. Archie, an honorary US. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. who was initially commissioned in June 2010 as an honorary USMC corporal. McConnell lost both his legs above the knee while deployed.
