    CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA (July 23, 2023) Information Systems Technician 2nd Class Tavian Black (front), Electrician's Mate 1st Class Michael Corbett and Engineman 2nd Class Jamie Hernandez assigned to the Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Canberra (LCS 30), read the names of Australians killed in the line of duty at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, Australia, 23 July. Freedom of Entry is an honor granted to military units that bestows the right to parade through the city streets on ceremonial occasions and be present at official functions and ceremonies. In accordance with military law and tradition, this gives the unit the right to march through the streets with swords drawn, bayonets fixed, drums beating, bands playing, and ensign flying.
