U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Caleb Scanlan, assigned to 1st Battalion, 503rd Regiment, 173rd Airborne Bridge, assists Italian soldiers in mounting and operating PVS-14 Monocular Night Vision Devices during training for the Expert Soldier and Expert Infantry Badge (E2B) on Oct. 17, 2023 at Del Din, Vicenza, Italy. The E2B tests U.S. Army Soldiers' mastery of warrior tasks and are a fundamental part of the Army's method of building lethal, cohesive teams and expert leaders through difficult, realistic training.
