PENSACOLA, FL – (October 03, 2023) – Capt. Walter Brafford, commander, Naval Medical Forces Support Command (NMFSC), visited with command staff and directors of Navy Medicine Operational Training Command (NMOTC) at its headquarters in Pensacola on Oct. 3. He, along with Command Master Chief Veronica Brittenum, received briefs and tours of NMOTC pensacola facilities and subsidiary detachments and training sites located on Naval Air Station Pensacola. In April 2023, Brafford was appointed as the 40th Chief of the Navy Dental Corps and assumed duties as NMFSC commander on May 25, 2023. This visit is part of his initial site visitations for the forces under his command. NMOTC is comprised of six nationwide detachments that offer specialized medical training in the fields of aviation medicine, aviation survival, surface and undersea warfare, expeditionary and special operations medicine.
