    PENSACOLA, FL – (October 03, 2023) – Capt. Kimberly Toone, commander Navy Medicine Operational Training Command (NMOTC), listens during a update brief given to Capt. Walter Brafford, commander, Naval Medical Forces Support Command (NMFSC), at NMOTC's headquarters building in Pensacola on Oct. 3. NMFSC which is based in San Antonio, TX is the parent command of NMOTC and two other training commands which supply the Navy with the bulk of its operational medical providers. In May of 2023, Brafford assumed duties as NMFSC commander and his visit is part of his initial site visitation tour of the forces under his command. NMOTC is comprised of six nationwide detachments that offer specialized medical training in the fields of aviation medicine, aviation survival, surface and undersea warfare, expeditionary and special operations medicine.
