PENSACOLA, FL – (October 03, 2023) – Capt. Walter Brafford, commander, Naval Medical Forces Support Command (NMFSC), visited with leadership and staff of the Navy Medicine Operational Training Command (NMOTC) at its headquarters in Pensacola on Oct. 3. He, along with Command Master Chief Veronica Brittenum, received briefs and tours of NMOTC’s Pensacola facilities and were able to speak to and hear concerns from the NMOTC Sailors and those of its detachments and training sites located onboard Naval Air Station Pensacola. In May of 2023, Brafford assumed duties as NMFSC commander and his visit is part of his initial site visitation tour of the forces under his command. NMOTC is comprised of six nationwide detachments that offer specialized medical training in the fields of aviation medicine, aviation survival, surface and undersea warfare, expeditionary and special operations medicine.
