A U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 101st Air Refueling Wing, Bangor Air National Guard Base, Maine, arrives to Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, with advanced echelon (ADVON ) personnel and equipment to support a 90-day deployment with the 506th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron, Oct. 28, 2023. The 101st ARW deployed to Guam to take over the mission of the 506th EARS from the 171st Air Refueling Wing, an ANG unit deployed from Pittsburgh International Airport, Pennsylvania. The 506th EARS is comprised of deployed ANG units that complete 90-day rotations providing in-air fuel support for Bomber Task Force and other aircraft in the Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility.
