An F-35C from the U.S. Navy’s Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Nine (VX-9) climbs above fog as it takes off from Naval Base Ventura County Point Mugu in Southern California on its way to a training exercise over the adjacent Point Mugu Sea Range on Aug. 16, 2023.
