A U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 122, Marine Aircraft Group 13, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, prepares to enter a forward arming and refueling point (FARP) during Integrated Training Exercise 2-24 at Camp Wilson, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California, Feb. 7, 2024. A FARP extends the capabilities of rotary or fixed wing aircraft to allow rearming and refueling of the aircraft without having to return to a forward operating base.
