Rear Adm. Rick Freedman, Navy Deputy Surgeon General and Deputy Chief, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, speaks with aerospace medical providers at the United States Naval Aerospace Conference (USNAC) Feb. 7. The event hosted by the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute (NAMI), a detachment of NMOTC and was held at the National Naval Aviation Museum. The conference is intended to share ideas and knowledge in the community of aerospace medicine and is held annually. NMOTC is comprised of six nationwide detachments that offer specialized medical training in the fields of aviation, aviation survival, surface and undersea warfare, expeditionary and special operations medicine.
