SSG Anthony Overby (R) plans a strategic robotic approach to lay down a simulated C4 explosive next to an IED with the CRS-I robot with SPC Cory Lapp (L), both from the 680 ENG CO CEC/I, at the 99th RD New Equipment Fielding Site. These robots are lightweight, packable, unmanned systems, used for a variety of missions including remote explosive obstacle counter measures (EOCM) from a distance. Soldiers are being trained as ‘train the trainers’ and will bring these robots back to their home units. (Images provided by the USASA Fort Dix Training Division /Steven Roussel)
