Thirty women from the Al-Khidr district in Al-Muthanna governorate completed a month-long knitting workshop supported by USAID. This initiative taught them valuable knitting skills and provided equipment for making rugs, carpets, and traditional clothes. The women also learned about digital marketing strategies to reach more customers, especially in Baghdad and Basrah.
Empowered by USAID’s support, these women now have a sustainable livelihood to contribute financially to their household incomes and serve as inspirational role models for other women in their communities.
