240516-N-NS135-1557 (May 16, 2024) GULF OF GUINEA – A Ghana Navy rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RHIB) moves alongside Comandanti-class patrol ship ITS Comandante Bettica (P 492) to disembark a Ghana Navy and Ghana Police Service boarding team and U.S. Coast Guard Tactical Law Enforcement Team (TACLET) and Royal Netherlands Marine Corps Reconnaissance Sniper Team instructors as part of a joint training demonstration between six nations for Obangame Express 2024 and Flintlock 2024. During Exercise Obangame Express 2024, the 13th rendition of the exercise, partner and allied forces collaborate to enhance collective maritime law enforcement capabilities, bolster national and regional security in West Africa, and foster greater interoperability among U.S., African, and multinational partners. Exercise Flintlock helps to strengthen the defense readiness of African partners and regional organizations in addressing security threats.
