U.S. Air Force Special Tactics Airmen, assigned to the 146th Air Support Operations Squadron, Oklahoma Air National Guard, and U.S. Southern Command, Miami, Florida, work together with GRUFE (Special Forces Group of the Peruvian Air Force) Defense and Special Operations members to carry a simulated patient to a FAP Mi-17 helicopter, assigned to the FAP Air Group 3, during a joint culminating exercise training event in support of Resolute Sentinel 2024 near Base Vitor, Peru, June 12, 2024. The exercise was a multi staged event that focused on calling in simulated close air support, combat search and rescue, and stabilizing simulated patients to be transloaded to the proper care facilities, consisting of members of GRUFE, Colombian Special Air Operations Group, U.S. Air Force Special Forces, West Virginia Army National Guard, and FAP Air Group 2.
