Service members and staff from the Navy and Marine Corps Force Health Protection Command (NMCFHPC) and Navy Environmental Preventive Medicine Unit Two (NEPMU-2) participated in the annual Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) event, Sept. 20, 2024, Virginia Beach, Virginia. During the event, Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Danielle Cuello, a preventive medicine technician with the NMCFHPC, educates students at the sugar shocker station. At this station, students would place food items in their correct spots according to how much sugar the item contains.
