A 1st Armored Division Soldier conducts radio operations as part of several patrol lane tasks during the Expert Infantryman, Expert Soldier, and Field Medical Badge, simply known as E3B, event held at Fort Bliss, Texas, Sept. 16, 2024. E3B candidates are required to perform several military patrol tasks including map reading, personnel searching, visual signaling, movement under fire, radio operations and Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) gear as part of the overall assessment to earn the respective badges. More than 900 Soldiers assigned to the 1st Armored Division and various Fort Bliss units took part in the weeklong E3B event held from September 16-20, 2024. The E3B is a rigorous series of physical and combat tasks that tests Soldiers abilities and knowledge in several key tasks including patrol skill, weapons familiarization and medical tasks.
