U.S. Marine Maj. Gen. Christopher S. Owens talks with Marines from Company C during exercise Cobra Gold 2013 Feb. 15 at Ban Chan Krem, Kingdom of Thailand. During his visit, Owens toured the Marine base camp and spoke with Marines and sailors about the importance of multinational and bilateral training in the Asia-Pacific region. Owens is Marine forces commander for the exercise and the commanding general of the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, and Charley company is with 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, which is attached to 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, as part of the Marine Corps’ unit deployment program.
