U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Lawrence Carbohn greets Maj. Gen. Christopher S. Owens during exercise Cobra Gold 2013 Feb. 15 at Ban Chan Krem, Kingdom of Thailand. During his visit, Owens toured the Marine base camp and spoke to Marines and sailors about the importance of multinational and bilateral training in the Asia-Pacific region. Owens is Marine forces commander for the exercise and the commanding general of the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, and Carbohn is an electrician with Combat Assault Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III MEF.
