Myer, Va., oversee soldiers of the Uganda People's Defence Force practice their land navigation, terrain identifying and reporting methods prior to a squad competition at Forward Operating Location Kasenyi, Uganda, April 1, 2008. The UPDF soldiers are training with members of the The Old Guard during a 16- week course designed to enhance basic infantry skills among the force. The Army soldiers are part of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa. One key part of the CJTF-HOA mission is to help Africans solve Africa? challenges.
