MCAS IWAKUNI, Japan (Jan. 6, 2025) — Equipment Operator 3rd Class Kaimi Tagaca, project operator, and Engineering Aide Constructionman Juan Nacpil, project surveyor, receive an exemplary performance brief from Lt. j.g. Shane Almeida, detail officer in charge and project manager. Both are awarded Commanding Officer coins by Cmdr. Travis Brinkman, commanding officer of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3 (NMCB-3). NMCB-3 serves as the stand-in engineering force for Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet, executing high-quality construction operations and investments and supporting major combat operations in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility.
