PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 30, 2025) The Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) and the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS San Diego (LPD 22), operate at sea together during Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) interoperability exercises, Jan. 30. Rushmore, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
