PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 30, 2025) Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) prepare to board a Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) in the well deck of the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47), Jan. 30. Rushmore, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
