Infantrymen assigned to C. Co., 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, prepare to enter and clear a trench during Exercise Gothic Sentinel at Camp Ethan Allen Training Site, Vermont, Feb. 22, 2025. As part of the drill, Soldiers identified enemy positions, suppressed threats, and executed a coordinated assault to secure the trench line. Wearing over-whites as winter camouflage, they maneuvered through deep snow and icy terrain, adapting their tactics to the challenging cold-weather environment.
