OLONGAPO, PHILIPPINES (Feb. 1, 2025) Seaman Carlos Figueroa, from Houston, Texas, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65), plays a game with children from the Project Life Subic Chapel, in Olongapo, Philippines, Feb. 1. Benfold Sailors spent the day with the youth group as part of a community relations event with Project Life Subic, which is a ministry group that aims to help in developing the quality of life in the community by offering livelihood programs. Benfold is forward deployed and assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s Largest DESRON and U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
