U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Anthony R. Ierardi, commanding general of the 1st Cavalry Division, reads a program from the funeral of Col. Alvin "Al" B. Johnson at a reunion of Vietnam veterans who served with Johnson in Company D, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. Ierardi spoke at a meeting of the veterans and then spent time chatting with them and looking at memorabilia. Johnson was planning on attending the reunion, but passed away in March.
