An Iraqi air force aerial gunner trainee waits for takeoff in a Mi-17 multi-role helicopter for a training mission over Camp Taji, May 29. The goal of the mission is for each student to understand and demonstrate multiple tasks that have been taught in a classroom setting and are now put to the test in an actual helicopter. The six-week training aerial gunner course is taught by Airmen assigned to the 770th Air Expeditionary Advisory Squadron.
