Lt. Col. Steven M. George, the outgoing commander, Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, accepts the battalion colors for the final time from the battalion command sergeant major before relinquishing command of the unit May 8 at Fort Benning, Ga. The Buffalo Battalion is comprised of five companies representing a variety of military occupational specialties including military intelligence, communications specialists, combat engineers, military police and others. George was recently selected to serve on the chief of staff of the Army’s special staff in the Soldier for Life Program.
