Lt. Col. Leonard E. Thomas II, Clairfield, Tenn. native and incoming commander of the Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, leads the battalion staff during the pass and review portion of the change of command ceremony May 8 at Fort Benning, Ga. The Buffalo Battalion is comprised of approximately 800 soldiers with various military specialties including military intelligence, communications specialists, combat engineers, military police and others.
