Spc. Karen Cortes, 26 from Puerto Rico, is a member of Team 3, 46th Comical Company. She had the fastest time on day three during the M249 portion of the Guardian Challenge warrior tasks June 5, with 2 minutes, 53 seconds. She said she thought the ruck march earlier that day was the most difficult event so far. "With a full ruck we had our IBA and ACA and did the march right after yesterday's land nav and obstacle course. So it's been hard on my legs," Cortex said. "I'm pretty proud of myself especially in the obstacle course. I think I've done pretty well and my team has done pretty well. We all help each other out."
